5 Lions Dance Game Features

5 Lions Dance is a 5-reel, 4-row slot with a total of 1,024 paylines. The aim of the game is to form paylines by landing 3 or more matching symbols on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1 and moving from left to right. The titular 5 lions make the high-paying symbols, and appear in gold, white, red, yellow and green. Making the low pays are the familiar A, K, Q, J and 10 card royals. The bell on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 acts as the wild, able to substitute all symbols except the scatter and Lion Reel symbol. The scatter is the drum appearing on reels 1, 2 and 3. Hit all 3 to trigger the free spins round. The Lion Reel symbol, on the other hand, appears on reels 3, 4 and 5, and landing all 3 brings about the bonus feature.

Welcome to Lions class!

We have lots of exciting activities planned for this term and the year ahead, starting with our topic this term which is Ancient Egypt.

Maths

This term, we will be working hard to improve our mental maths, especially the recall of number bonds and addition and subtraction facts. Times tables is also a big focus, especially for our Year 4 pupils as they are required to complete a Multiplication Tables Check in Summer 2022.

English

In English we will spend the year looking at a variety of books and carrying out a wide range of reading and writing activities based around them.  We will also be developing our reading and writing skills through a range of both short films and longer chapter books.  Spelling is a big focus this year, so we will be looking at mnemonics, tricks and tips to help us improve our knowledge of how words are written. Children will have the opportunity to enter Spelling Shed competitions to support this. Furthermore, we will be improving our reading skills to work on our comprehension of texts on a variety of topics.

Reading

In Lions class, we love to read, with a cosy reading corner to enjoy quiet reading every day. As well as the school’s reading scheme and prizes for achieving different levels, we also have a reading competition in the class to celebrate any reading at home. We encourage any type of reading, including newspapers, magazines, even leaflets and recipes – it all helps!

P.E

P.E is on Tuesday morning, though it is useful to keep P.E kits in school from Monday-Friday as the children regularly participate in additional PE and sports workshops.

Homework

The most important thing children can do at home is to keep up with their reading. Please remember to log any reading on the Go Read app so we can keep track and update the children’s bookmarks in school. In addition, children should be practising their times tables, using either Times Tables Rockstars, singing along to multiplication songs or trying out one of the fun dances on the BBC Supermovers site.  Finally, we will publish weekly spellings on Tapestry for children to practise at home. Although we do not test children on these spellings, we do encourage them to have fun with them, looking for patterns, investigating rhymes and mnemonics for the ones they find tricky.   Children can also log into Spelling Shed to play games and complete assignments linked to their spelling words for the week.

Term One news

It has been a very busy start to the year. In English, we have already completed Gorilla by Anthony Browne and we are now enjoying the story of Egyptian Cinderella by Shirley Climo. In Maths, we are becoming more confident working with larger numbers and developing our mental arithmetic skills. In P.E, we have started to learn about dribbling and using different passes in Basketball and we will be applying these skills in mini competitions and games. On Friday mornings, children in Year 4 are really fortunate to be receiving brass instrument lessons from a specialist music teacher. Watch this space for more news about what we have been learning about as well as upcoming events.

Term Two news

It has been a very busy start to the term. In English, we are enjoying our new class text Varjak Paw by SF Said and getting to know the characters. We have lots of questions about the book and we are looking forward to finding out how the story will unfold. We love storytime at the end of the day where we are currently reading the classic story of Charlotte’s Web by E.B White.

In Maths we have been revising different methods to add and subtract numbers as well as enjoying our daily dose of Times Table Rockstars!

In History, we are continuing to find out about life in ancient Egypt and we really enjoyed immersing ourselves in the topic during a recent History Day. During the day, we prepared Honey Bread and also had a go at making our own papyrus. Once the papyrus has dried, we will then decorate it with hieroglyphics. We also made our own mini pyramids and created hieroglyphic name tags (cartouches).

Our PE lessons have been focussing on Dance; we have already composed some Egyptian inspired dance sequences and now we will spend the rest of term learning and rehearsing a dance for the KS2 pantomime.

We are looking forward to the rest of the term which will be packed with lots of festive fun!

We get the usual 96.50% Pragmatic RTP here and the graphics, sounds and animations are pleasant enough. The volatility is medium to high and the free games can pay well, although the Lion Spins are usually poor. Base game hits can also be substantial, but rarely. Essentially, hit the free games often enough and you will be dancing, if you don't then your money will be consumed fast by these hungry lions...

Mr Matthysen captured the intimate moment at the Kariega Game Reserve in South Africa.The 36-year-old said: 'The two young male lions were trying to play with their mother, but she was having none of it.

'They were quickly flung off their mother when she turned over to go to sleep.

'The lions then started jumping and rolling over the ground and it really looks like they are dancing.

'They were on their hind legs for three seconds each time - they were playing for half an hour.

'They look like ballroom dancers, you can almost hear and feel the music playing in the background.'

Mr Matthysen, who is head ranger at the reserve, managed to capture the shots because they were ten metres higher than him.

He added: 'The cubs were about the meters up on a slope from me, giving me these lovely low angle shots.'
