Bryan Ferry's legendary band have been tipped for the prestigious set at next year's festival.

Roxy Music are rumoured to be playing Glastonbury's legends slot next year.

Bryan Ferry's classic glam rock band reunited for a 50th anniversary tour earlier this month, which is their first in eleven years.

It's now been claimed that Roxy are being lined up for the feted Sunday afternoon slot at the 2023 festival.

A poster on the eFestivals Twitter account claims: “I’m hearing that Roxy Music will do the Legends Slot at next year’s Glastonbury.

“Like all rumours, it might be wrong but I don’t think it is.”

The eFestivals forum also features a post where someone claims "a very reliable source” has let slip that Roxy Music have been pencilled in for the slot, which has seen the likes of Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue, Barry Gibb and Diana Ross all grace the Pyramid Stage.

In July this year, Graham Gouldman claimed that Mancunian band 10cc were offered the legends slot.

But Gouldman claimed that the art rock group - best known for their 1975 hit I'm Not In Love - aren't likely to appear at Worthy Farm as organisers Emily and Michael Eavis would like the original line-up to appear, which would feature Kevin Godley, Lol Creme and Eric Stewart.

Gouldman revealed: "We've had an offer to play the legends slot at Glastonbury.

"But they want the original line-up to reform. I don't think that's likely."

10cc have been touring the UK this year, but Gouldman is the only remaining original member. Godley and Creme left the band and became a duo in 1976, while Stewart left in 1995.
