I first explain how to configure 888poker for Poker Copilot:

• In 888poker, from the “Settings” menu, select “Game Settings”.
• Check the checkbox labelled “Keep my hand history in:”
• Set Days to keep hand history: to 9999
• And click “Apply”
• I need to set my preferred seat…for every table size.
• First 10 Max, then 9 seats, 8 seats, 6 seats.
• Now 5 seats, and 4 seats. Three seats. Heads up…and done!
• Click on “Apply” and then “Save and close”.
• Finally you need to restart 888poker.

Now you can start Poker Copilot. If it is already running, restart it. It is important to restart so that Poker Copilot can detect the changes you made to 888poker’s settings.

Then I show the HUD running on 888poker:

• After the first hand at a new table is completed, the HUD should appear.
• There’s a HUD panel next to each player.
• Above the line, you can see the player name, and how many hands we’ve played against them.
• The higher this number, the more reliable Poker Copilot’s information is.
• Below the line, you can see “VPIP”.
• This indicates how often a player takes part in hands.
• It’s a percentage, and the full name is “Voluntarily put money in the pot”.
• It’s a standard poker term for online play.
• The higher this number, the looser a player is.
• Good players keep this number pretty low, typically around 20% on a full-ring table.
• Next we can see how often a player raises.
• “PFR” means pre-flop raise.
• Again, this is a percentage.
• The higher the number, the more often the player raises pre-flop.
• It shows how aggressive a player is.
• If this number is very low, the player is passive.
• If the number is close to the value of VPIP (which is actually the maximum value it can have), the player is very aggressive.
• The third and final number is “Aggression Frequency”.
• It’s also a percentage. It measures how aggressive a player is in the hands in which he sees the flop.
• Once he gets the flop, does this player fold? call? raise? bet?
• Aggression Frequency is higher if a player is more likely to bet and raise than he is to fold and call postflop.
• If you don’t like the location of the HUD panels, you can move them.
• Click, hold down the mouse, then drag the panel.
• Here in the top-right hand corner we have the HUD control panel.
• I’m not going to explain everything about the control panel in this video.
• What you do need to know is that this config icon gives you a menu of options you can use to fine-tune the appearance of the HUD.

Luxembourg (128p from 122p) had been only workmanlike when winning the Royal Whip Stakes by a neck at the Curragh last month, but, having met with a setback after finishing third in the 2000 Guineas, he was entitled to come on for that outing and he duly took a big step forward to win a strong edition of the Irish Champion Stakes on Saturday.

Luxembourg may have made his supporters sweat when landing odds of 2/9 in the Royal Whip but one pleasing aspect of that display was how well he knuckled down under pressure, and he again displayed a likeable, straightforward attitude to prevail in the Irish Champion Stakes, getting on top close home to beat Grand Prix de Paris winner Onesto by half a length after the pair had been locked together for much of the final furlong and a half. Eclipse winner Vadeni (127 from 127p), the 7/4 favourite, wasn't seen to best effect in third as he was stuck in a pocket early in the straight and, having been forced to deliver his challenge against the far rail, was unable to fully open up. He finished a length and a quarter behind Onesto.

The strength Luxembourg showed in the finish bodes well for his prospects of staying a mile and a half in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and he won't face many rivals in Paris with stronger form. Should Baaeed turn up he would clearly be the one to beat, with his rating of 137 identifying him as the best we have seen on turf since Frankel retired, but Luxembourg's rating of 128p places him in a similar bracket as the likes of Titleholder (130), Adayar (130) and Torquator Tasso (128) but with less to prove.

A rating of 128p identifies Luxembourg as the joint-highest-rated colt from this season's classic generation - equal with Desert Crown (128p) who is out for the season - and his performance in the Irish Champion Stakes was of similar merit to what St Mark's Basilica produced last year.

The other Group 1 on the Leopardstown card, the Matron Stakes, was won by Pearls Galore (121 from 113) who showed improved form to go one better than in last year's race. Pearls Galore had been below her best when only fifth in the Prix Rothschild behind Saffron Beach at Deauville last month but, in first-time cheekpieces, she proved better than ever under a front-running ride from Billy Lee to reverse the form. The 5/4 favourite, Homeless Songs, was ultimately below her best in fourth but she travelled smoothly and it's possible the fourth-month absence since her impressive Irish 1000 Guineas success may have contributed to her underwhelming finishing effort.

Jadoomi (117 from 115), like Pearls Galore, also came in for a well-judged front-running ride to land the Boomerang Mile, though it was still impressive how he quickened four lengths clear under Christophe Soumillon. Jadoomi was completing a hat-trick having landed a listed race at Clairefontaine and the Celebration Mile on his two previous outings this term and he has taken a small step forward on each occasion. Saturday's performance underlined his ability to handle testing ground - he had finished third in a Group 1 as a juvenile on heavy - and his effectiveness with cut in the ground will be an asset at the back-end of the campaign. The finish of the day on Saturday came in the Paddy Power Stakes, a Group 3 contest over a mile and a half which was won by Duke de Sessa (112 from 107) who stayed on strongly to beat Thunder Kiss (111 from 113) by a short head with Beamish (112 from 111) a head back in third.

Duke de Sessa was having his first start at a mile and a half and thoroughly saw it out, with his strength at the finish suggesting he might stay even further. Duke de Sessa's trainer Dermot Weld was also responsible for arguably the most impressive winner on Irish Champions Weekend in the shape of Tahiyra (116P from 90P) who was installed as favourite for the 1000 Guineas after bolting up in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Tahiyra, a half-sister to the yard's multiple Group 1 winner Tarnawa, had looked an exciting prospect when scooting five and a half lengths clear of a promising sort on her debut at Galway in July and she confirmed that promise in no uncertain terms at the Curragh, putting up comfortably the best performance by a two-year-old filly so far this season.

Meditate, a winner of her four previous starts, including the Albany at Royal Ascot, had set the standard among European-trained two-year-old fillies prior to the weekend and she slightly advanced her Timeform rating in the Moyglare - to 109 from 108p - as she pulled four and a half lengths clear of the third, Eternal Silence, who was in turn two lengths ahead of fourth-placed Never Ending Story.

Meditate was no match for the confidently-ridden Tahiyra, however, who was still on the bridle a furlong out despite being a couple of lengths behind. When Chris Hayes asked Tahiyra to quicken she did so impressively, drawing two and a quarter lengths clear under a hands-and-heels ride.

A rating of 116P places Tahiyra 5 lb in advance of Trillium (111p) and The Platinum Queen (111) in the pecking order among the European-trained juvenile fillies, while only Little Big Bear (126p) and Noble Style (119p) have achieved a higher figure among the colts.

There are some big names on the Moyglare roll of honour but none earned a bigger rating in the race this century than Tahiyra, who still has the large P attached to her figure to indicate she could be capable of much better form.

Highfield Princess (remains 126) continued on her remarkable roll by registering a third successive Group 1 success in the Flying Five Stakes. Highfield Princess, whose three-quarter-length defeat of Minzaal at Deauville looks even better following his Sprint Cup victory, followed up her win in the Prix Maurice de Gheest with an emphatic win in the Nunthorpe at York. She didn't need to improve on the form she had shown at York to win the Flying Five, but it was still impressive how she tanked through the race, travelling all over her rivals despite having spent much of her career racing at six or seven furlongs.

You have to go back to 2007, when Benbaun won prior to landing the Prix de l'Abbaye, to find a performance of similar merit in this race.

A clash with Golden Pal in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint is next on the agenda for the thriving Highfield Pricess and there is little to separate the pair on Timeform's figures. Last year's Turf Sprint winner Golden Pal is rated 129 but must concede 3 lb to Highfield Princess whose last two performances suggest she will cope better with the sharp test of speed than previously imagined.

Kyprios (remains 126) is another who possibly didn't need to improve upon his best form but arguably enhanced his reputation with success on Irish Champions Weekend. Kyprios had shown he stays two and a half miles when winning the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot - albeit a falsely-run edition of that race - so it is to his credit that he was able to land a Group 1 over a mile and three-quarters in the Irish St Leger.

Sensibly given a positive ride by Ryan Moore to make the most of his stamina, Kyprios was sent for home turning in and found plenty up the straight to fend off Hamish (123 from 120), a high-class opponent proven under testing conditions.

Trueshan (128) has a higher Timeform rating based on his superb weight-carrying display in the Northumberland Plate, but running in handicaps affords high-quality horses a good chance to post a big figure, and while he ran creditably when third behind Kyprios at Goodwood he now has a question to answer after being turned over at long odds-on in the Doncaster Cup.

Kyprios, on the other hand, has won all five starts this campaign, from a mile and three-quarters to two and a half miles, and on ground ranging from heavy to good to firm, so he stands out as the one to beat in the division.

The other Group 1 on the Curragh card, the National Stakes, was won by Al Riffa (114p from 92p) who showed much-improved form to prevail. In two of the last three seasons the best performance in the juvenile division was posted in the National Stakes - Pinatubo in 2019 and Native Trail last year - and while that won't be the case this year Al Riffa still features prominently in the pecking order, slotting in behind only Little Big Bear (126p), Noble Style (119p) and Tahiyra (116P).

Al Riffa, a winner of a course-and-distance maiden last time and the only runner in the line-up having his first crack at a pattern race, was settled in last in the early stages but made good headway out wide over a furlong out and stayed on strongly to lead inside the final 100 yards. The Joseph O'Brien-trained Al Riffa is by Wootton Bassett but there is plenty of stamina on the dam's side of his pedigree and, considering his strength in the finish on Sunday, he looks sure to be suited by a step up in trip. That will give this exciting prospect an opportunity to advance his rating further.

Aidan O'Brien had to settle for second in the Moyglare with Meditate, while Aesop's Fables and Hans Andersen (who had beaten Al Riffa when that colt was very green on debut) were a bit disappointing in the National Stakes, but the yard had a good juvenile winner on Saturday with Auguste Rodin (110p from 95p) who justified favouritism in the Champions Juvenile Stakes.

Auguste Rodin, a well-bred son of Deep Impact out of multiple Group 1 winner Rhododendron, still didn't look like the finished article on his first start in pattern company, showing his inexperience as he edged right after hitting the front, but he was ultimately well on top and remains capable of building on this smart effort.

Joseph O'Brien's Above The Curve (113p from 108p) also has a fantastic pedigree, being by American Pharoah and out of an unraced half-sister to Giant's Causeway, and she produced a career-best effort to land the Blandford Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday. Above The Curve hadn't been seen since winning the Group 1 Prix Saint-Alary at Longchamp in May but that absence didn't pose a problem and she proved game to prevail by a neck from Insinuendo who had pushed Luxembourg hard in the Royal Whip. That good attitude Above The Curve showed ought to stand her in good stead and there could be more to come given her lightly raced profile.
